Dry Indian almond leaves – Terminalia catappa tree.

$6.90 GST inc.

Description

This pack contains: 3 medium to large size dry Indian almond leaves (Terminalia catappa tree).

Dried Indian Almond leaves release tannins, anti-bacterial compounds and other minerals into the water. This helps simulate the natural environment of most tropical fish. The leaves can also lower the PH and make the water a little darker. Fish who come from natural habitat with lots of leaf litter will love everything these leaves provide. Fish fry and baby shrimp feed off the Infusoria that grows on the leaves.

Usage: A good minimum is to use about 1 leaf per 40 liters water. The leaves may float at the top of the tank water for about 2-3 days. The leaves then sink to the bottom.

Remove the leaves from the tank after 3 to 4 weeks, or when the leaves start breaking apart and replace by fresh ones.
